Order form for Grumman AA1, AA1A, and AA1B series High Compression STC's.

The first of two required Supplemental Type Certificates, "STC's" required for these modifications, allows for the modification of the original 0-235-C2C from 6.7 / 1 compression ratio to 8.5 / 1 compression ratio.

The second STC. allows for the installation of a 0-235-C2C high compression modified engine or the installation of a 0-235-K2C engine that already has an 8.5 to 1 compression ratio, in the Grumman AA1, AA1A, or AA1B aircraft.

The modification of the original 0-235-C2C engine requires that the crankcase be modified by the installation of 7/16" crankcase thru bolts and cylinder corner studs. Engine baffling must be upgraded to late model baffling as used on Grumman AA1B serial # 280 and subsequent.
This late model baffling is a tremendous improvement in regard to cooling compared to the early versions, even if you are flying the stock engine.

The STC. requires the use of the McCauley Model: 1A105/SCM7153 climb prop, up to and including the 7157 cruise propeller, which is the model most of our aircraft came from the factory with. Check your prop model number.

Grumman Service Kit for the addition of an oil cooler must be complied with or the ADC. oil filtration unit must be installed to keep oil temps in check, this is a real good idea even on stock aircraft.
Per STC. minimum fuel grade is 100LL, fuel tanks must be placarded for its use. Auxiliary Data Plates must be installed on aircraft and engine. Please complete this order form as completely and legible as possible. As STC. Holders we are required to keep track of aircraft and engines that are modified per our STC's.
